The ROOM organisation held a three-day ‘hope camp’ for older teenagers to explore their goals for the year and their lives. The new school year began in February with great anticipation, as education is a privilege in Honduras. Two young students of our home received a drama scholarship. During Easter week, the children spent a lot of time in the water and enjoyed many other activities. Gerard van Kesteren visited the children's home and took part in the inauguration of the 100 houses project. Eight high school graduates successfully took part in the La Prensa Marathon.

In 2023, five of our children successfully completed secondary school, three of them at the top of their class. Yeslin received a diploma in business administration, Lency in hotel and tourism management. The children's home invests 14% of its budget in education and a dental brigade provides dental care. Christmas and New Year's Eve were celebrated with festive visits and rituals.
In addition to the visits by the Cross Carolina Connection, the Children's Day was a highlight, as it is every year.
